Centerpiece Idea: Simple Bowls

A simple, pretty clear glass bowl can be transformed into something truly elegant for your table centerpiece. Oftentimes the simplest ideas are the most beautiful; for example, floating a large, beautiful flower bud in water can be stunning or packing a bowl full of floating white candles of different sizes adds a romantic glow. This type of centerpiece can also easily be mixed and matched with another setting of your choice; for example, mix up your tables by using flowers on one table and floating candles on the next.

Here are some ideas on how to turn the Charlotte bowl into something memorable:

1) Fill the bottom of the bowl with small rocks (available at craft stores), water, small floral stems, and a couple of floating candles:


2) Simply fill the bowl with water and floating candles in different sizes:


3) Put a small amount of water in the bowl. Place a pillar candle in the center of the bowl (you'll need to check to see if your reception hall allows "open flames") and float fresh flowers in the water around the candle:
